Rabbit MAGI2 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MAGI2 antibody
MAGI2 Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500
Immunofluorescene (IF)
(MBS9604800 staining A549 by IF/ICC. The sample were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1/200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) Ab, diluted at 1/600, was used as the secondary antibody.)
Subunit Structure: Interacts (via its WW domains) with DRPLA (PubMed:9647693). Interacts (via its second PDZ domain) with PTEN (via unphosphorylated C-terminus); this interaction diminishes the degradation rate of PTEN (PubMed:10760291, PubMed:11707428). Interacts (via guanylate kinase domain) with DLGAP1 (By similarity). Interacts (via the PDZ domains) with GRIN2A, GRID2 and NLGN1 (By similarity). Interacts with CTNND2, CTNNB1, MAGUIN-1, ACVR2A, SMAD2 and SMAD3 (By similarity). Part of a complex consisting of AIP1, ACVR2A, ACVR1B and SMAD3 (By similarity). May interact with HTR2A (By similarity). Interacts with IGSF9, RAPGEF2 and HTR4 (By similarity). Identified in a complex with ACTN4, CASK, IQGAP1, NPHS1, SPTAN1 and SPTBN1 (By similarity). Found in a complex, at least composed of KIDINS220, MAGI2, NTRK1 and RAPGEF2; the complex is mainly formed at late endosomes in a NGF-dependent manner (By similarity). Interacts with RAPGEF2; the interaction occurs before or after nerve growth factor (NGF) stimulation (By similarity). Interacts (via PDZ domain) with KIDINS220 (via C-terminal domain) (By similarity). Interacts with DDN (PubMed:16464232). Interacts with DLL1 (By similarity). Found in a complex with IGSF9B and NLGN2; the interaction with IGSF9B is mediated via the PDZ 5 and PDZ 6 domains, while the interaction with NLGN2 is mediated via the WW1, WW2 and PDZ2 domains (PubMed:23751499).
Similarity: Belongs to the MAGUK family.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Predicted: 159 kDa
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene interacts with atrophin-1. Atrophin-1 contains a polyglutamine repeat, expansion of which is responsible for dentatorubral and pallidoluysian atrophy. This encoded protein is characterized by two WW domains, a guanylate kinase-like domain, and multiple PDZ domains. It has structural similarity to the membrane-associated guanylate kinase homologue (MAGUK) family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Seems to act as scaffold molecule at synaptic junctions by assembling neurotransmitter receptors and cell adhesion proteins. May play a role in regulating activin-mediated signaling in neuronal cells. Enhances the ability of PTEN to suppress AKT1 activation. Plays a role in nerve growth factor (NGF)-induced recruitment of RAPGEF2 to late endosomes and neurite outgrowth.

Product Notes
The MAGI2 magi2 (Catalog #AAA9604800) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MAGI2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MAGI2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:1000 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAGI2 magi2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAGI2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
