Related Product Information for anti-LYL1 antibody
Lyl-1, TAL1 and TAL2 are part of a family of basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) proteins implicated in T cell acute leukemia. TAL1, also designated SCL, is a serine phosphoprotein and basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor known to regulate embryonic hematopoiesis. TAL2 is a protein involved in T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia through a chromosomal translocation involving TAL2 and T cell receptor beta chain genes. TAL2 includes a helix-loop-helix protein dimerization and DNA-binding domain that is homologous to TAL1 and Lyl-1 proto-oncogenes. Lyl-1 (lymphoblastic leukemia-derived sequence 1) is a nuclear protein. Endogenous Lyl-1 exists in complex with E2alpha proteins. Lyl-1 and E2alpha protein can form heterodimeric complexes with distinctive DNA-binding properties in hematolymphoid cells. Lyl-1 is involved in a chromosomal aberration which causes a form of T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL).

NCBI Description

This gene represents a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor. The encoded protein may play roles in blood vessel maturation and hematopoeisis. A translocation between this locus and the T cell receptor beta locus (GeneID 6957) on chromosome 7 has been associated with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]

Product Notes

The LYL1 lyl1 (Catalog #AAA3007179) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The LYL1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LYL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LYL1 lyl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LYL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
