Related Product Information for anti-LRP1 antibody
Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LRP1), also known as alpha-2-macroglobulin receptor (A2MR), apolipoprotein E receptor (APOER), or cluster of differentiation 91 (CD91), is an endocytic receptor involved in several cellular processes. LRP1/CD91 is a member of the cluster of differentiation (CD) system. The cluster of differentiation (CD) system is commonly used as cell markers in Immunophenotyping. Different kinds of cells in the immune system can be identified through the surface CD molecules associating with the immune function of the cell. There are more than 320 CD unique clusters and subclusters have been identified. Some of the CD molecules serve as receptors or ligands important to the cell through initiating a signal cascade which then alters the behavior of the cell. Some CD proteins do not take part in the cell signal process but have other functions such as cell adhesion. LRP1/CD91 is involved in endocytosis and phagocytosis of apoptotic cells and is required for early embryonic development. LRP1/CD91 is also involved in cellular lipid homeostasis, the plasma clearance of chylomicron remnants, activated LRPAP1 (alpha 2-macroglobulin), and the local metabolism of complexes between plasminogen activators and their endogenous inhibitors. LRP1/CD91 May modulate cellular events, such as APP metabolism kinase-dependent intracellular signaling, neuronal calcium signaling as well as neurotransmission need the involvement of LRP1/CD91.

Uniprot Description

Endocytic receptor involved in endocytosis and in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells. Required for early embryonic development. Involved in cellular lipid homeostasis. Involved in the plasma clearance of chylomicron remnants and activated LRPAP1 (alpha 2-macroglobulin), as well as the local metabolism of complexes between plasminogen activators and their endogenous inhibitors. May modulate cellular events, such as APP metabolism, kinase-dependent intracellular signaling, neuronal calcium signaling as well as neurotransmission.

Product Notes

The LRP1 lrp1 (Catalog #AAA8101915) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-LRP1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Mouse Predicted to React with: Human (Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's LRP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC-P: 1:500-1:2000 ICC/IF: 1:300-1:10,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the LRP1 lrp1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LRP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
