Rabbit KCND1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-KCND1 antibody
KCND1 Antibody (N-term)
complex class of voltage-gated ion channels from both functional
and structural standpoints. Their diverse functions include
regulating neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion,
neuronal excitability, epithelial electrolyte transport, smooth
muscle contraction, and cell volume. Four sequence-related
potassium channel genes - shaker, shaw, shab, and shal - have been
identified in Drosophila, and each has been shown to have human
homolog(s). This gene encodes a member of the potassium channel,
voltage-gated, shal-related subfamily, members of which form
voltage-activated A-type potassium ion channels and are prominent
in the repolarization phase of the action potential. This gene is
expressed at moderate levels in all tissues analyzed, with lower
levels in skeletal muscle.

NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a multipass membrane protein that comprises the pore subunit of the voltage-gated A-type potassium channel, which functions in the repolarization of membrane action potentials. Activity of voltage-gated potassium channels is important in a number of physiological processes, among them the regulation of neurotransmitter release, heart rate, insulin secretion, and smooth muscle contraction. Uniprot Description
KCND1: Pore-forming (alpha) subunit of voltage-gated rapidly inactivating A-type potassium channels. May contribute to I(To) current in heart and I(Sa) current in neurons. Channel properties are modulated by interactions with other alpha subunits and with regulatory subunits. Belongs to the potassium channel family. D (Shal) (TC 1.A.1.2) subfamily. Kv4.1/KCND1 sub-subfamily.
Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Membrane protein, integral
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp11.23
Cellular Component: voltage-gated potassium channel complex; cell soma; dendrite; plasma membrane; integral to membrane
Molecular Function: delayed rectifier potassium channel activity; metal ion binding
Biological Process: synaptic transmission; protein homooligomerization

Product Notes
The KCND1 kcnd1 (Catalog #AAA9215208) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 118-147. The KCND1 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Bovine, Mouse) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KCND1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KCND1 kcnd1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KCND1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
