Related Product Information for anti-ING5 antibody
ING5 is similar to ING1, a tumor suppressor protein that can interact with TP53, inhibit cell growth, and induce apoptosis. This protein contains a PHD-finger, which is a common motif in proteins involved in chromatin remodeling. This protein can bind TP53 and EP300/p300, a component of the histone acetyl transferase complex, suggesting its involvement in TP53-dependent regulatory pathway. [provided by RefSeq].

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is similar to ING1, a tumor suppressor protein that can interact with TP53, inhibit cell growth, and induce apoptosis. This protein contains a PHD-finger, which is a common motif in proteins involved in chromatin remodeling. This protein can bind TP53 and EP300/p300, a component of the histone acetyl transferase complex, suggesting its involvement in TP53-dependent regulatory pathway. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ING5: Component of the HBO1 complex which has a histone H4- specific acetyltransferase activity, a reduced activity toward histone H3 and is responsible for the bulk of histone H4 acetylation in vivo. Component of the MOZ/MORF complex which has a histone H3 acetyltransferase activity. Through chromatin acetylation it may regulate DNA replication and may function as a transcriptional coactivator. Belongs to the ING family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Tumor suppressor

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q37.3

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; zinc ion binding; chromatin binding; methylated histone residue binding

Biological Process: negative regulation of cell proliferation; establishment and/or maintenance of chromatin architecture; protein amino acid acetylation; transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of apoptosis; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; DNA replication; negative regulation of growth

Product Notes

The ING5 ing5 (Catalog #AAA6310533) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ING5, ID (ING5, Inhibitor of growth protein 5, p28ING5) (Biotin) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ING5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:100-500 ELISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ING5 ing5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ING5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
