NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene contains two double-stranded RNA binding domains and functions in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. It is a component of an RNA-protein complex that may be involved in mediating the export of messenger RNAs. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. These isoforms are grouped into two categories, NFAR-1 or NFAR-2, based on variation at the C-terminus. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2013]

Uniprot Description

NFAT90: a double-stranded RNA (dsRNA)-binding protein implicated in the regulation of gene expression . Phosphorylated in a double-stranded RNA-dependent manner possibly by PKR. Five different splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Protein type: RNA-binding; Nucleolus; Transcription factor; DNA-binding

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; membrane; mitochondrion; cytoplasm; nucleolus; ribonucleoprotein complex; nucleus

Molecular Function: enzyme binding; DNA binding; RNA binding; double-stranded RNA binding

Biological Process: negative regulation of viral genome replication; protein amino acid methylation; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; transcription, DNA-dependent; negative regulation of translation; positive regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; negative regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; defense response to virus; protein amino acid phosphorylation

Product Notes

The ILF3 ilf3 (Catalog #AAA3200690) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ilf3 antibody - C-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Goat, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ilf3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ILF3 ilf3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: YQGDSYNSPV PPKHAGKKPL HGGQQKASYS SGYQSHQGQQ QPYNQSQYSS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ilf3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
