Related Product Information for anti-IDH3G antibody
Isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes belong to two distinct subclasses, one of which utilizes NAD(+) as the electron acceptor and the other NADP(+). Five isocitrate dehydrogenases have been reported: three NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases, which localize to the mitochondrial matrix, and two NADP(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases, one of which is mitochondrial and the other predominantly cytosolic. NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyze the allosterically regulated rate-limiting step of the tricarboxylic acid cycle. Each isozyme is a heterotetramer that is composed of two alpha subunits, one beta subunit, and one gamma subunit. The protein encoded by this gene is the gamma subunit of one isozyme of NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase. This gene is a candidate gene for periventricular heterotopia.

Uniprot Description

IDH3G: a enzyme that that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to alpha-ketoglutarate (alpha-KG), requiring nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) as a cofactor. The holoenzyme is a heterooligomer of subunits alpha, beta, and gamma in the apparent ratio of 2:1:1. IDH3 is a mitochondrial enzyme that functions in the Krebs cycle, which generates substrates for cellular respiration. Alpha-KG can exit the mitochondria and enter other cellular compartments where it is a cofactor for the dioxygenases that hydroxylate the transcription factor HIF and trigger its degradation by VHL. Since HIF turns on oncogenic pathways, IDH3 may have tumor suppressor activity. Two isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The IDH3G idh3g (Catalog #AAA9210321) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 366-393. The IDH3G Antibody (C-term) reacts with Human (Predicted Reactivity: Bovine, Monkey) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IDH3G can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). WB~~1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IDH3G idh3g for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IDH3G, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
