Related Product Information for anti-I-309 antibody
This gene is one of several cytokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The protein encoded by this gene is structurally related to the CXC subfamily of cytokines. Members of this subfamily are characterized by two cysteines separated by a single amino acid. This cytokine is secreted by activated T cells and displays chemotactic activity for monocytes but not for neutrophils. It binds to the chemokine receptor CCR8. [provided by RefSeq]

NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of the N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide. This chemokine, a member of the CC subfamily, is secreted by activated T cells and displays chemotactic activity for monocytes but not for neutrophils. It binds to the chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 8. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

CCL1: Cytokine that is chemotactic for monocytes but not for neutrophils. Binds to CCR8. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted, signal peptide; Chemokine; Secreted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 17q12

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Molecular Function: chemokine activity

Biological Process: cellular calcium ion homeostasis; viral reproduction; immune response; chemotaxis; signal transduction

Product Notes

The I-309 ccl1 (Catalog #AAA9414599) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The I-309 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's I-309 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western blotting: 1:500-1:3000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the I-309 ccl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "I-309, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
