Dilution: Peptide Inhibition: 1uM of histone H3 peptide containing dimethyl-arginine 2 abolished
detection of histone H3 by anti-dimethyl-Histone H3 (Arg2) (1:1000 dilution) in immunoblot analysis of acid extracts from chicken erythrocyte cells. Acid extract proteins from
chicken erythrocytes were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and
probed with anti-dimethyl-Histone H3 (Arg2) (1:1000, Lane 1), or with the antibody pre-absorbed with 1uM histone H3 peptides. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-rabbit secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system.
Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 detects dimethyl-histone H3 (Arg2) in acid-extracted proteins from chicken erythrocyte cells. No detection of unmethylated recombinant Histone H3 was observed. Recombinant Histone H3 and chicken erythrocyte cell lysate were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with antidimethyl-Histone H3 (Arg2) (1:1000 dilution). Preparation and Storage
May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
