Rabbit GAB1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-GAB1 antibody
Anti-GAB1 Antibody
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of GAB1 expression in HepG2 (A), Raw264.7 (B) whole cell lysates.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemical analysis of GAB1 staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Immunofluorescent analysis of GAB1 staining in HepG2 cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight 594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue).)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the IRS1-like multisubstrate docking protein family. It is an important mediator of branching tubulogenesis and plays a central role in cellular growth response, transformation and apoptosis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]
Uniprot Description
GAB1: Adapter protein that plays a role in intracellular signaling cascades triggered by activated receptor-type kinases. Plays a role in FGFR1 signaling. Probably involved in signaling by the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and the insulin receptor (INSR). Interacts with GRB2 and with other SH2-containing proteins. Interacts with phosphorylated LAT2. Interacts with PTPRJ. Identified in a complex containing FRS2, GRB2, GAB1, PIK3R1 and SOS1. Interacts (phosphorylated) with PTPN11. Interacts with HCK. Belongs to the GAB family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The GAB1 gab1 (Catalog #AAA8241617) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-GAB1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GAB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Western Blot: (1/500 - 1/1000); Immunohistochemistry: (1/100 - 1/200); Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry: (1/100 - 1/500). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GAB1 gab1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GAB1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
