Related Product Information for anti-GAB1 antibody
Rabbit anti GAB1 (pTyr627) antibody recognizes GRB2-associated-binding protein 1, also known as GAB1, GRB2-associated binder 1 or Growth factor receptor bound protein 2-associated protein 1 when phosphorylated at tyrosine 627. GAB1 is a docking protein capable of interactions with several different proteins particularly the activation of receptor tyrosine kinase signaling. Phosphorylation of GAB1 at tyrosine 627 leads to SHP2 recruitment and subsequent activation of MAPK signaling.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the IRS1-like multisubstrate docking protein family. It is an important mediator of branching tubulogenesis and plays a central role in cellular growth response, transformation and apoptosis. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]

Uniprot Description

Adapter protein that plays a role in intracellular signaling cascades triggered by activated receptor-type kinases. Plays a role in FGFR1 signaling. Probably involved in signaling by the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and the insulin receptor (INSR).

Product Notes

The GAB1 gab1 (Catalog #AAA225258) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti GAB1 (pTyr627) reacts with Human, Mouse (Expected from Sequence) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GAB1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GAB1 gab1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GAB1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
