Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Related Product Information for anti-FUT8 antibody
This enzyme belongs to the family of fucosyltransferases. The product of this gene catalyzes the transfer of fucose from GDP-fucose to N-linked type complex glycopeptides. This enzyme is distinct from other fucosyltransferases which catalyze alpha1-2, alpha1-3, and alpha1-4 fucose addition. The expression of this gene may contribute to the malignancy of cancer cells and to their invasive and metastatic capabilities. Alternatively spliced variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an enzyme belonging to the family of fucosyltransferases. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2011]

Uniprot Description

FUT8: Catalyzes the addition of fucose in alpha 1-6 linkage to the first GlcNAc residue, next to the peptide chains in N-glycans. Belongs to the glycosyltransferase 23 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The FUT8 fut8 (Catalog #AAA6300437) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The FUT8, ID (FUT8, Alpha-(1,6)-fucosyltransferase, Fucosyltransferase 8, GDP-L-Fuc:N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminide alpha1,6-fucosyltransferase, GDP-fucose-glycoprotein fucosyltransferase, Glycoprotein 6-alpha-L-fucosyltransferase) (Azide free) (HRP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's FUT8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-100 ELISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FUT8 fut8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FUT8, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
