Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Proepiregulin(EREG) detection. Tested with WB in Human.

Background: Epiregulin (EPR) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EREG gene. It is mapped to 4q13.3. This gene encodes a secreted peptide hormone and member of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) family of proteins. The encoded protein is a ligand of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and the structurally related erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 4 (ERBB4). Also, it may be involved in a wide range of biological processes including inflammation, wound healing, oocyte maturation, and cell proliferation. Additionally, the encoded protein may promote the progression of cancers of various human tissues.

Product Notes

The EREG ereg (Catalog #AAA178397) is an Antibody and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-EREG Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's EREG can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot Concentration: 0.1-0.5ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EREG ereg for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EREG, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
