Related Product Information for anti-ERAP2 antibody
This gene encodes a zinc metalloaminopeptidase of the M1 protease family that resides in the endoplasmic reticulum and functions in N-terminal trimming antigenic epitopes for presentation by major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules. Certain mutations in this gene are associated with the inflammatory arthritis syndrome ankylosing spondylitis and pre-eclampsia. This gene is located adjacent to a closely related aminopeptidase gene on chromosome 5.

NCBI Description

Aminopeptidases hydrolyze N-terminal amino acids of proteins or peptide substrates. Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules rely on aminopeptidases such as ERAP1 (MIM 606832) and LRAP to trim precursors to antigenic peptides in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) following cleavage in the cytoplasm by tripeptidyl peptidase II (TPP2; MIM 190470) (Tanioka et al., 2003 [PubMed 12799365]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

ERAP2: Aminopeptidase that plays a central role in peptide trimming, a step required for the generation of most HLA class I- binding peptides. Peptide trimming is essential to customize longer precursor peptides to fit them to the correct length required for presentation on MHC class I molecules. Preferentially hydrolyzes the basic residues Arg and Lys. Belongs to the peptidase M1 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Protease; EC 3.4.11.-; Endoplasmic reticulum

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q15

Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum membrane; endoplasmic reticulum lumen; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: metallopeptidase activity; zinc ion binding; aminopeptidase activity

Biological Process: antigen processing and presentation of peptide antigen via MHC class I; regulation of blood pressure; proteolysis; antigen processing and presentation of endogenous peptide antigen via MHC class I

Product Notes

The ERAP2 erap2 (Catalog #AAA9455369) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ERAP2 Conjugated Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ERAP2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Most Applications. Suggested Dilution: AF350 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF405 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF488 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF555 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF594 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF647 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF680 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 AF750 conjugated: most applications: 1:50-1:250 Biotin conjugated: working with enzyme-conjugated streptavidin, most applications: 1:50-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ERAP2 erap2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ERAP2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
