Related Product Information for anti-Rho antibody
Ras homolog gene family consists of RhoA, RhoB, RhoC proteins. These proteins interact directly with protein kinase (Rho kinase) to serve as downstream effectors of the activated GTPase. The Rho proteins are involved in the regulation of the actin cytosekeleton. Activation of Rho to the GTP bound state promotes formation of stress fibers and is required for the formation and maintenance of focal adhesions. Pathways stimulated by cytokines, hormones and various forms of stress utilize p21 proteins of the Rho family2. Possible mediators for these responses include protein kinase such as p120PKN, and p150, ROK alpha /Rho-A kinase, myosin light chain (MLC), phosphatase and PIP 5-kinase.3

Product Notes

The Rho (Catalog #AAA462121) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Rho (pS188) reacts with Human, rat, mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Rho (pS188) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, Western Blot. Suggested Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1-1 ug/ml ELISA: 0.01-0.1 ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 2-5 ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 2-5 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Rho for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rho (pS188), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
