Related Product Information for anti-Ephrin B antibody
The Eph receptors are the largest known family of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). They can be divided into two groups based on sequence similarity and on their preference for a subset of ligands: EphA receptors bind to a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored ephrin A ligand, and EphB receptors bind to ephrin B proteins that have a transmembrane and cytoplasmic domain (1,2). Eph receptors and ligands may be involved in many diseases and cancers (3). Both ephrin A and ephrin B ligands have dual functions. As RTK ligands, the ephrins stimulate the kinase activity of the Eph receptors and activate signaling pathways in receptor-expressing cells. The ephrin extracellular domain is sufficient for this function as long as it is clustered (4). The second function of ephrins has been described as "reverse signaling" whereby their cytoplasmic domain becomes tyrosine phosphorylated, allowing interactions with other proteins that may activate signaling pathways in the ligand-expressing cells (5). Various stimuli can induce tyrosine phosphorylation of ephrin B, including binding to EphB receptors, activation of Src kinase and stimulation by PDGF and FGF (6). Tyrosines 324/327 have been identified as a major tyrosine phosphorylation sites of ephrin B1 in vivo (7).

Product Notes

The Ephrin B (Catalog #AAA623735) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Ephrin B, phosphorylated (Tyr324/329) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Ephrin B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ephrin B for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ephrin B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
