Related Product Information for anti-DHX30 antibody
DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this DEAD box protein family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a member of this family. The encoded protein has 97% sequence identity with the mouse HELG protein. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.

NCBI Description

DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this DEAD box protein family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. The family member encoded by this gene is a mitochondrial nucleoid protein that associates with mitochondrial DNA. It has also been identified as a component of a transcriptional repressor complex that functions in retinal development, and it is required to optimize the function of the zinc-finger antiviral protein. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2013]

Uniprot Description

DDX30: Required for optimal function of the zinc-finger antiviral protein ZC3HAV1. Associates with mitochondrial DNA. Belongs to the DEAD box helicase family. DEAH subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Nuclear receptor co-regulator; EC 3.6.4.13; RNA-binding; Helicase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p21.31

Cellular Component: mitochondrion; cytoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: protein binding; double-stranded RNA binding; chromatin binding; ATP binding; ATP-dependent RNA helicase activity

Biological Process: RNA processing

Product Notes

The DHX30 dhx30 (Catalog #AAA6292099) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The DHX30, NT (DHX30, DDX30, KIAA0890, Putative ATP-dependent RNA helicase DHX30, DEAH box protein 30) (MaxLight 650) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's DHX30 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the DHX30 dhx30 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DHX30, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
