Related Product Information for anti-CYP4F11 antibody
Omega-hydroxylase that oxidizes a variety of structurally unrelated compounds, including fatty acids and xenobiotics. Plays a key role in vitamin K catabolism by mediating omega-hydroxylation of vitamin K1 (phylloquinone), and menaquinone-4 (MK-4), a form of vitamin K2. Hydroxylation of phylloquinone and MK-4 probably regulates blood coagulation (PubMed:24138531). Catalyzes omega-hydroxylation of 3-hydroxy fatty acids, such as 3-hydroxypalmitate, 3-hydroxyoleate, 3-hydroxyarachidonate, and 3-hydroxystearate (PubMed:18065749, PubMed:19932081). Oxidizes drugs such as erythromycin, benzphetamine, ethylmorphine, chlorpromazine and imipramine.

NCBI Description

This gene, CYP4F11, encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This gene is part of a cluster of cytochrome P450 genes on chromosome 19. Another member of this family, CYP4F2, is approximately 16 kb away. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The CYP4F11 cyp4f11 (Catalog #AAA1491935) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CYP4F11 Antibody, Biotin conjugated reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CYP4F11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CYP4F11 cyp4f11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CYP4F11, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
