Related Product Information for anti-CCNB antibody
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for G2/mitotic-specific cyclin-B1(CCNB) detection. Tested with WB in Human.
Background: CCNB also known as Cyclin B1, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CCNB1 gene, and it is mapped to 5q13.2. The protein encoded by this gene is a regulatory protein involved in mitosis. The gene product complexes with p34(cdc2) to form the maturation-promoting factor (MPF). Two alternative transcripts have been found, a constitutively expressed transcript and a cell cycle-regulated transcript, that is expressed predominantly during G2/M phase. The different transcripts result from the use of alternate transcription initiation sites. CCNB contributes to the switch-like all or none behavior of the cell in deciding to commit to mitosis. Its activation is well-regulated, and positive feedback loops ensure that once the cyclin B1-Cdk1 complex is activated, it is not deactivated.

Uniprot Description

CCNB1: a member of the highly conserved cyclin family, whose members are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases. Complexes with cdc2 to form the maturation-promoting factor (MPF). Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been found, a constitutively expressed form and a cell cycle-regulated form that is expressed predominantly during G2/M phase.

Product Notes

The CCNB ccnb1 (Catalog #AAA176782) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Cyclin B1 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Cyclin B1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCNB ccnb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclin B1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
