Rabbit CRFR2 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-CRFR2 antibody
CRFR2 Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
IHC: 1:50-1:200
IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(MBS9601478 staining COLO205 by IF/ICC. The sample were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25 degree C. The primary antibody was diluted at 1/200 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37 degree C. An Alexa Fluor 594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) Ab, diluted at 1/600, was used as the secondary antibody.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(MBS9601478 at 1/100 staining Mouse intestine tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of CRFR2 expression in K562 cells. The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.)
Function: G-protein coupled receptor for CRH (corticotropin-releasing factor), UCN (urocortin), UCN2 and UCN3. Has high affinity for UCN. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and down-stream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. Promotes the activation of adenylate cyclase, leading to increased intracellular cAMP levels.
Subunit Structure: Monomer. Interacts (via N-terminal extracellular domain) with CRF, UCN, UCN2 and UCN3. Has highest affinity for UCN, and considerably lower affinity for CRF, UNC2 and UCN3.
Post-translational Modifications: A N-glycosylation site within the signal peptide impedes its proper cleavage and function.
Similarity: The transmembrane domain is composed of seven transmembrane helices that are arranged in V-shape. Transmembrane helix 7 assumes a sharply kinked structure (By similarity). The uncleaved pseudo signal peptide prevents receptor's oligomerization and coupling to G(i) subunits. It is also responsible for the rather low receptor localization at the plasma membrane (PubMed:22689579). Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Predicted: 48 kDa
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family, and the subfamily of corticotropin releasing hormone receptor. This receptor shows high affinity for corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH), and also binds CRH-related peptides such as urocortin. CRH is synthesized in the hypothalamus, and plays an important role in coordinating the endocrine, autonomic, and behavioral responses to stress and immune challenge. Studies in mice suggest that this receptor maybe involved in mediating cardiovascular homeostasis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]
Uniprot Description
G-protein coupled receptor for CRH (corticotropin-releasing factor), UCN (urocortin), UCN2 and UCN3.

Product Notes
The CRFR2 crhr2 (Catalog #AAA9601478) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CRFR2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CRFR2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CRFR2 crhr2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CRFR2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
