Related Product Information for anti-CNOT4 antibody
CNOT4 is a 575aa protein with E3 ubiquitin ligase activity, mainly involved in protein modification and protein ubiquitination. It contains a ring type zinc finger domain of the C4C4 type, an RNA recognition motif and a bipartite nuclear localization signal. Studies show that CNOT4 is a component of the CCR4-NOT (CAF1) core complex that functions as general transcription regulation complex and has both a positive as well as a negative effect on the transcription of multiple functionally unrelated genes, thus controls gene expression. CNOT4 interacts with CNOT1 via C-terminus and with E2 ubiquitin ligases via C4C4 RING domain. Reports suggest that CNOT4 gets phosphorylated in response to DNA damage on consensus sites recognized by ATM and ATR.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the CCR4-NOT complex, a global transcriptional regulator. The encoded protein interacts with CNOT1 and has E3 ubiquitin ligase activity. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jul 2010]

Uniprot Description

CNOT4: Has E3 ubiquitin ligase activity. The CCR4-NOT complex functions as general transcription regulation complex. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The CNOT4 cnot4 (Catalog #AAA6009563) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CNOT4, NT (E3 Ubiquitin-protein Ligase CNOT4, CCR4-associated Factor 4, Potential Transcriptional Repressor NOT4Hp, CCR4-NOT Transcription Complex Subunit 4, NOT4) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CNOT4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CNOT4 cnot4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CNOT4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
