Related Product Information for anti-CNGB3 antibody
Function: Visual signal transduction is mediated by a G-protein coupled cascade using cGMP as second messenger. This protein can be activated by cGMP which leads to an opening of the cation channel and thereby causing a depolarization of rod photoreceptors. Induced a flickering channel gating, weakened the outward rectification in the presence of extracellular calcium, increased sensitivity for L-cis diltiazem and enhanced the cAMP efficiency of the channel when coexpressed with CNGA3 (By similarity). Essential for the generation of light-evoked electrical responses in the red-, green-and blue sensitive cones.
Subunit Structure: Tetramer formed of three CNGA3 and one CNGB3 modulatory subunits.
Similarity: Belongs to the cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channel (TC 1.A.1.5) family. CNGB3 subfamily.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the beta subunit of a cyclic nucleotide-gated ion channel. The encoded beta subunit appears to play a role in modulation of channel function in cone photoreceptors. This heterotetrameric channel is necessary for sensory transduction, and mutations in this gene have been associated with achromatopsia 3, progressive cone dystrophy, and juvenile macular degeneration, also known as Stargardt Disease. Uniprot Description

Visual signal transduction is mediated by a G-protein coupled cascade using cGMP as second messenger. Induced a flickering channel gating, weakened the outward rectification in the presence of extracellular calcium, increased sensitivity for L-cis diltiazem and enhanced the cAMP efficiency of the channel when coexpressed with CNGA3 (). Product Notes

The CNGB3 cngb3 (Catalog #AAA9609737) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CNGB3 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CNGB3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:1000-3000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CNGB3 cngb3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CNGB3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
