Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Clusterin-associated protein 1 (Cluap1/IFT38) is a ciliary protein that belongs to the intraflagellar transport complex B (IFT-B) complex and is required for ciliogenesis. Cluap1 has been implicated in human development as well as in cancer progression. Cluap1 loss of function results in early developmental defects with neural tube closure, sonic hedgehog signaling and left-right defects. Cluap1 -/- mice have cilia defects, and Cluap1 protein is detected in primary cilia. Cluap1 contributes to ciliogenesis by regulating the intraflagellar transport (IFT) cycle at the base and tip of the cilium. Loss-of-function mutations in cluap1 (previously known as qilin) result in ciliopathy-related phenotypes, such as kidney cysts and photoreceptor defects, in zebrafish.
