Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

FABP12, a member of the fatty acid binding protein (FABP) gene family, has the same structure as other FABP genes and resides in a cluster with FABP4/5/8/9 within 300, 000 bp chromosomal region. FABP12 orthologs are found in mammals, but not in the zebrafish or chicken genomes. FABP12 is expressed in rodent retina and testis, as well as in human retinoblastoma cell lines. FABP12 mRNA is expressed in ganglion and inner nuclear layer cells. FABP12 arose as the result of tandem gene duplication, a mechanism that may have been instrumental to the expansion of the FABP family. FABP12 is preferentially amplified and/or overexpressed in metastatic compared to primary tumors from both PCa patients and xenograft animal models.
