Related Product Information for anti-CDH10 antibody
CDH10 is a type II classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily, integral membrane proteins that mediate calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion. Mature cadherin proteins are composed of a large N-terminal extracellular domain, a single membrane-spanning domain, and a small, highly conserved C-terminal cytoplasmic domain. The extracellular domain consists of 5 subdomains, each containing a cadherin motif, and appears to determine the specificity of the protein's homophilic cell adhesion activity. Type II (atypical) cadherins are defined based on their lack of a HAV cell adhesion recognition sequence specific to type I cadherins. This particular cadherin is predominantly expressed in brain and is putatively involved in synaptic adhesions, axon outgrowth and guidance.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a type II classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily, integral membrane proteins that mediate calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion. The extracellular domain consists of 5 subdomains, each containing a cadherin motif, and appears to determine the specificity of the protein's homophilic cell adhesion activity. Uniprot Description

CDH10: Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Cell adhesion

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5p14.2

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: calcium ion binding

Biological Process: intercellular junction assembly and maintenance; cell-cell adhesion; homophilic cell adhesion

Product Notes

The CDH10 cdh10 (Catalog #AAA6284073) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CDH10, NT (CDH10, Cadherin-10, T2-cadherin) (APC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CDH10 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). IHC: 1:10-50 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CDH10 cdh10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CDH10, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
