Biological Significance
Calbindin-D-28K belongs to a family of low molecular weight calcium-binding proteins. Calbindin-D-28K is found mostly in subpopulations of central and peripheral nervous system nuerons and also in certain epithelial cells involved in Ca2+ transport.
Cross-Reactivity
Human, Mouse, Rat
Immunogen
Calbindin 28K antibody was raised in Rabbit using synthetic peptide corresponding to residues surrounding amino acids 191 of mouse Calbindin -D-28K as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Product Notes

The Calb1 calb1 (Catalog #AAA837717) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Calbindin 28K can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 0.5-4 ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Calb1 calb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Calbindin 28K, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
