Rabbit Blimp 1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-Prdm1 antibody
Blimp 1 antibody
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
PRDM1: a transcriptional repressor that binds specifically to the PRDI element in the promoter of the beta-interferon gene and can inhibit virus-mediated IFN-¿ production. Recruits chromatin-modifying enzymes including histone deacetylases and methyltransferases. Drives the maturation of B-lymphocytes into Ig secreting cells. Interacts with PRMT5. Expression of Blimp-1 is sufficient to drive terminal differentiation of BCL1 lymphoma cells into antibody secreting plasma cells, increasing the expression of the cell surface marker Syndecan-1. In the B-cell lineage, Blimp-1 is specifically expressed in antibody-secreting cells including activated B and plasma cells. In addition, Blimp-1 has been found during macrophage differentiation and in a subset of T-cells suggesting that it may play a wider role in homeostasis and differentiation. Target genes of Blimp-1 transcriptional repression with potential roles in differentiation include c-Myc, CIITA, Pax5, Spi-B, and Id3.Three isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Blimp 1 prdm1 (Catalog #AAA835380) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Blimp 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Blimp 1 prdm1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Blimp 1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
