Related Product Information for anti-Beta3-AR antibody
Background: The neurotransmitter/hormone adrenaline (epinephrine, adrenalin) plays a central role in the mammalian stress response, increasing heart rate, raising blood pressure, and increasing blood glucose levels. Adrenaline activates both alpha-adrenergic receptors and beta-adrenergic receptors. There are mainly three subtypes of beta adrenergic receptors known, beta1, beta2, and beta3. These receptors are expressed primarily in the heart, respiratory tissue, and adipose tissue. Beta3-receptors are abundant in brown adipocytes and play vital roles in lipolysis and thermoregulation. Beta adrenergic receptors are gaining much interest among researches in the studies of type-2 diabetes mellitus and obesity. It is also being considered as a therapeutic target for heart failure.

NCBI Description

binds BRL373 and norepenephrine; may play a role in the adrenergic signaling pathway [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

ADRB3: Beta-adrenergic receptors mediate the catecholamine- induced activation of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins. Beta-3 is involved in the regulation of lipolysis and thermogenesis. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Adrenergic receptor subfamily. ADRB3 sub-subfamily.

Product Notes

The Beta3-AR adrb3 (Catalog #AAA840326) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Beta3-AR Antibody reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Beta3-AR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western blot analysis (1-4 ug/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually. Rat kidney tissue lysate can be used as a positive control. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Beta3-AR adrb3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Beta3-AR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
