Related Product Information for anti-Aurka antibody
Contributes to the regulation of cell cycle progression. Required for normal mitosis. Associates with the centrosome and the spindle microtubules during mitosis and functions in centrosome maturation, spindle assembly, maintenance of spindle bipolarity, centrosome separation and mitotic checkpoint control. Phosphorylates numerous target proteins, including ARHGEF2, BRCA1, KIF2A, NDEL1, PARD3, PLK1 and BORA. Regulates KIF2A tubulin depolymerase activity (By similarity). Required for normal axon formation. Plays a role in microtubule remodeling during neurite extension. Important for microtubule formation and/or stabilization.

Uniprot Description
AurA: a member of the AUR family of kinases. A cell cycle-regulated serine/threonine protein kinase that is overexpressed in many tumor cell lines. Regulated by phosphorylation-dependent proteasomal degradation. Localized to mitotic centrosomes and spindle microtubules and is required for centrosome maturation. Loss of Aurora A leads to defective mitotic spindles and gross errors in chromosome segregation. Required for centrosome duplication and chromosome segregation. Overexpression in culture drives transformation and aneuploidy, and negatively regulates p53. Amplified or overexpressed in many tumors or cell lines. Found as a skin tumor susceptibility gene in mouse, and a human SNP in a degradation domain is weakly cancer-associated and undergoes allele-specific amplification. Inhibitors: VX-680, ZM447439, Hesperadin, SNS-595.

Product Notes
The Aurka aurka (Catalog #
AAA6276855) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Aurka, NT (Aurka, Aik, Airk, Ark1, Aura, Ayk1, Btak, Iak1, Stk15, Stk6, Aurora kinase A, Aurora 2, Aurora family kinase 1, Aurora/IPL1-related kinase 1, Ipl1-and aurora-related kinase 1, Serine/threonine-protein kinase 6, Serine/threonine-protein kinase A reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Aurka can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Aurka aurka for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Aurka, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
