Related Product Information for anti-Y64 antibody
Annexin family members have been implicated as regulators of such diverse processes as ion flux, endocytosis, exocytosis and cellular adhesion. Annexin III, also known as ANXA3, Annexin A3, Lipocortin III, PAP-III (placental anticoagulant protein III), 35-alpha calcimedin or ANX3, belongs to the Annexin family and contains four Annexin repeats. Annexin III exhibits a variety of functions, including anti-coagulent properties, an inhibitory role towards phospholipase A2 (PLA2) and an enzymatic function, cleaving the cyclic bond of inositol 1, 2-cyclic phosphate to produce inositol 1-phosphate.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the annexin family. Members of this calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein family play a role in the regulation of cellular growth and in signal transduction pathways. This protein functions in the inhibition of phopholipase A2 and cleavage of inositol 1,2-cyclic phosphate to form inositol 1-phosphate. This protein may also play a role in anti-coagulation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ANXA3: a calcium/phospholipid-binding protein and inhibitor of phospholipase A2, Possesses anti-coagulant properties. Cleaves the cyclic bond of inositol 1,2-cyclic phosphate to form inositol 1-phosphate. Annexins are a family of structurally related proteins whose common property is calcium-dependent binding to phospholipids. There are at least ten different annexins in mammalian species. Annexins do not contain signal peptides, yet some annexins (A1, A2 and A5) appear to be secreted in a physiologically regulated fashion.

Product Notes

The Y64 anxa3 (Catalog #AAA3003866) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Annexin 3 (Y64) Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Annexin 3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Y64 anxa3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Annexin 3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
