Related Product Information for anti-AMPKalpha1 antibody
Protein kinase AMP-activated catalytic subunit alpha 1 encoded by PRKAA1 belongs to the ser/thr protein kinase family. It is the catalytic subunit of the 5'-prime-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK). AMPK is a cellular energy sensor conserved in all eukaryotic cells. The kinase activity of AMPK is activated by the stimuli that increase the cellular AMP/ATP ratio. AMPK regulates the activities of a number of key metabolic enzymes through phosphorylation. It protects cells from stresses that cause ATP depletion by switching off ATP-consuming biosynthetic pathways. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.

Product Notes

The AMPKalpha1 prkaa1 (Catalog #AAA4755313) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-AMPK alpha 1 (Thr183)/AMPK alpha 2 (Thr172) Rabbit pAb reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey, Pig and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AMPK alpha 1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunohistochemistry-Frozen (IHC-F), ELISA (EIA). IF: 1:50-200 WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:100-1:300 ELISA: 1:40,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AMPKalpha1 prkaa1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AMPK alpha 1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
