Background: RNA demethylase ALKBH5 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ALKBH5 gene. It is mapped to 17p11.2. N(6)-methyladenosine (m(6)A) is the most prevalent modification of mRNA. ALKBH5 functions as a demethylase that removes m(6)A from mRNAs.

The Anti-ALKBH5 Antibody reacts with Human, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ALKBH5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Direct ELISA (EIA). WB: 0.1-0.25ug/ml (Human, Monkey) IHC-P (Embedded Section): 0.5-1ug/ml (Human) ICC: 2ug/ml (Human) IF: 2ug/ml (Human) FC/FACS: 1-3ug/1x106 cells (Human) Direct ELISA: 0.1-0.5ug/ml (Human) Tested Species: In-house tested species with positive results. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALKBH5 alkbh5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ALKBH5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
