Related Product Information for anti-AGA antibody
This gene encodes a member of the N-terminal nucleophile (Ntn) hydrolase family of proteins. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate alpha and beta chains that comprise the mature enzyme. This enzyme is involved in the catabolism of N-linked oligosaccharides of glycoproteins. It cleaves asparagine from N-acetylglucosamines as one of the final steps in the lysosomal breakdown of glycoproteins. Mutations in this gene are associated with the lysosomal storage disease aspartylglycosaminuria that results in progressive neurodegeneration. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that is subject to proteolytic processing.

Uniprot Description

Cleaves the GlcNAc-Asn bond which joins oligosaccharides to the peptide of asparagine-linked glycoproteins.

Product Notes

The AGA aga (Catalog #AAA9133952) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AGA Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AGA can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunofluorescence (IF). WB: 1:500 - 1:1000 IF: 1:50 - 1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AGA aga for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: SSPLPLVVNT WPFKNATEAA WRALASGGSA LDAVESGCAM CEREQCDGSV GFGGSPDELG ETTLDAMIMD GTTMDVGAVG DLRRIKNAIG VARKVLEHTT HTLLVGESAT TFAQSMGFIN EDLSTTASQA LHSDWLARNC QPNYWRNVIP DPSKYCGPYK PPGILKQDIP IHKETEDDRG HDTIGMVVIH KTGHIAAGTS TNGIKFKIHG RVGDSPIPGA GAYADDTAGA AAATGNGDIL MRFLPSYQAV EYMRR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AGA, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
