Related Product Information for anti-ACAD11 antibody
The deduced full-length ACAD11 protein contains an N-terminal aminoglycoside phosphotransferase domain, followed by a mitochondria localization signal and ACAD N-terminal, middle, and C-terminal domains. It also has a glycosylation site and a C-terminal peroxisome-targeting signal. The ACAD domain contains a catalytic aspartate rather than the catalytic glutamate found in most other ACADs. Real-time RT-PCR detected variable ACAD11 expression in all tissues examined, with highest expression in adult brain, followed by heart, liver, spinal cord, and kidney. Western blot analysis of fractionated human cerebellum and kidney revealed thatACAD11 associated with mitochondrial membranes, but not mitochondrial matrix. Immunohistochemical analysis showed that ACAD11colocalized with a mitochondrial marker in human neuroblastoma cells.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an acyl-CoA dehydrogenase enzyme with a preference for carbon chain lengths between 20 and 26. Naturally occurring read-through transcription occurs between the upstream gene NPHP3 (nephronophthisis 3 (adolescent)) and this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]

Uniprot Description

ACAD11: Acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, that exhibits maximal activity towards saturated C22-CoA. Belongs to the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Oxidoreductase; EC 1.3.99.-; Mitochondrial

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3q22.1

Cellular Component: mitochondrial membrane; peroxisome; nucleus

Molecular Function: FAD binding; transferase activity, transferring phosphorus-containing groups; very-long-chain-acyl-CoA dehydrogenase activity; long-chain-acyl-CoA dehydrogenase activity

Biological Process: fatty acid beta-oxidation using acyl-CoA dehydrogenase

Product Notes

The ACAD11 acad11 (Catalog #AAA9412737) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ACAD11 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ACAD11 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western blotting: 1:200-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:15-1:50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ACAD11 acad11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ACAD11, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
