Monkey Phospholipase A1 ELISA Kit | PLA1 elisa kit
Monkey Phospholipase A1 ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: PLA1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-PLA1 antibody and an PLA1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with PLA1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the PLA1 concentration since PLA1 from samples and PLA1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-PLA1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by PLA1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind PLA1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The PLA1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the POU domain family of transcription factors. POU domain transcription factors bind to a specific octamer DNA motif and regulate cell type-specific differentiation pathways. The encoded protein is primarily expressed in the epidermis, and plays a critical role in keratinocyte proliferation and differentiation. The encoded protein is also a candidate tumor suppressor protein, and aberrant promoter methylation of this gene may play a role in cervical cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]
Uniprot Description
Oct11: Transcription factor that binds to the octamer motif (5'-ATTTGCAT-3'). Regulated the expression of a number of genes such as SPRR2A or placental lactogen. Belongs to the POU transcription factor family. Class- 2 subfamily. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Monkey PLA1 pou2f3 (Catalog #AAA742899) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA742899 ELISA Kit recognizes Monkey PLA1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phospholipase A1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
