Related Product Information for NT-3 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Human NT- 3antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human NT-3 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human NT-3 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human NT-3 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the neurotrophin family, that controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. This protein is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. It may be involved in the maintenance of the adult nervous system, and may affect development of neurons in the embryo when it is expressed in human placenta. NTF3-deficient mice generated by gene targeting display severe movement defects of the limbs. The mature peptide of this protein is identical in all mammals examined including human, pig, rat and mouse. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

NT-3: Seems to promote the survival of visceral and proprioceptive sensory neurons. Belongs to the NGF-beta family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Human NT-3 ntf3 (Catalog #AAA762605) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA762605 ELISA Kit recognizes Human NT-3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Neurotrophin-3, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
