Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse REV1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-REV1 antibody
REV1 Antibody
Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
IHC: 1:50-1:200
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(MBS9604095 at 1/100 staining Mouse liver tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22 degree C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of REV1 expression in HEK293 cells, The lane on the left is treated with the antigen-specific peptide.)
Subunit Structure: Monomer. Interacts with the DNA polymerase zeta which is composed of REV3L and MAD2L2; the interaction with MAD2L2 is direct and requires that REV3L is in its closed conformation. Interacts with POLH, POLI and POLK. May bind ITGA3. Interacts with FAAP20/C1orf86.
Similarity: The C-terminal domain is necessary for protein interactions. Belongs to the DNA polymerase type-Y family.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Predicted: 139 kDa
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a protein with similarity to the S. cerevisiae mutagenesis protein Rev1. The Rev1 proteins contain a BRCT domain, which is important in protein-protein interactions. A suggested role for the human Rev1-like protein is as a scaffold that recruits DNA polymerases involved in translesion synthesis (TLS) of damaged DNA. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]
Uniprot Description
Deoxycytidyl transferase involved in DNA repair. Transfers a dCMP residue from dCTP to the 3'-end of a DNA primer in a template-dependent reaction. May assist in the first step in the bypass of abasic lesions by the insertion of a nucleotide opposite the lesion. Required for normal induction of mutations by physical and chemical agents.

Product Notes
The REV1 rev1 (Catalog #AAA9604095) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The REV1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's REV1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the REV1 rev1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "REV1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
