Related Product Information for PCI elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Mouse Troponin T Type 2, Cardiac (also known as TNNT2) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse TNNT2 antibody. TNNT2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse TNNT2 Antibody is added and binds to TNNT2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TNNT2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse TNNT2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the pro-alpha2 chain of type I collagen whose triple helix comprises two alpha1 chains and one alpha2 chain. Type I is a fibril-forming collagen found in most connective tissues and is abundant in bone, cornea, dermis and tendon. Mutations in this gene are associated with osteogenesis imperfecta types I-IV, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome type VIIB, recessive Ehlers-Danlos syndrome Classical type, idiopathic osteoporosis, and atypical Marfan syndrome. Symptoms associated with mutations in this gene, however, tend to be less severe than mutations in the gene for the alpha1 chain of type I collagen (COL1A1) reflecting the different role of alpha2 chains in matrix integrity. Three transcripts, resulting from the use of alternate polyadenylation signals, have been identified for this gene. [provided by R. Dalgleish, Feb 2008]

Uniprot Description

Type I collagen is a member of group I collagen (fibrillar forming collagen).

Product Notes

The Mouse PCI col1a2 (Catalog #AAA1601294) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1601294 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse PCI. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Type I Procollagen (PCI), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
