Mouse C-type lectin domain family 1 member B (CLEC1B) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: CLEC1B ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CLEC1B antibody and an CLEC1B-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CLEC1B-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CLEC1B concentration since CLEC1B from samples and CLEC1B-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CLEC1B antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CLEC1B from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CLEC1B-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CLEC1B concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Natural killer (NK) cells express multiple calcium-dependent (C-type) lectin-like receptors, such as CD94 (KLRD1; MIM 602894) and NKG2D (KLRC4; MIM 602893), that interact with major histocompatibility complex class I molecules and either inhibit or activate cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion. CLEC2 is a C-type lectin-like receptor expressed in myeloid cells and NK cells (Colonna et al., 2000 [PubMed 10671229]).[supplied by OMIM, Jan 2011]
Uniprot Description
CLEC1B: Acts as a receptor for the platelet-aggregating snake venom protein rhodocytin. Rhodocytin binding leads to tyrosine phosphorylation and this promotes the binding of spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk) and initiation of downstream tyrosine phosphorylation events and activation of PLC-gamma-2. Acts as an attachment factor for human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) and facilitates its capture by platelets. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Receptor, misc.; Membrane protein, integral
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p13.2
Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane
Molecular Function: protein binding; transmembrane receptor activity; carbohydrate binding
Biological Process: cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; defense response; platelet formation

Product Notes
The Mouse CLEC1B clec1b (Catalog #AAA7230729) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7230729 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse CLEC1B. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C-type lectin domain family 1 member B (CLEC1B), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
