This antibody can be stored at 2 degree C- 8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Preservative-Free. Sodium azide is recommended to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). It is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for anti-VEGF-D  antibody
Vascular endothelial growth factor D (VEGF-D), also known as C-fos induced growth factor (FIGF), belongs to the platelet-derived growth factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (PDGF/VEGF) family. FIGF protein is active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. FIGF protein is secreted as a non-covelent homodimer in an antiparallel fashion. Human FIGF protein is expressed in adult lung, heart, muscle, and small intestine, and is most abundantly expressed in fetal lungs and skin. FIGF protein is structurally and functionally similar to VEGF-C. Therefore, FIGF protein binds and activates VEGFR-2 (Flk1) and VEGFR-3 (Flt4) receptors, and may particularly be involved in cancers, such as breast cancer, epithelial ovarian carcinoma and so on.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the platelet-derived growth factor/vascular endothelial growth factor (PDGF/VEGF) family and is active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis, and endothelial cell growth. This secreted protein undergoes a complex proteolytic maturation, generating multiple processed forms which bind and activate VEGFR-2 and VEGFR-3 receptors. This protein is structurally and functionally similar to vascular endothelial growth factor C. Read-through transcription has been observed between this locus and the upstream PIR (GeneID 8544) locus. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]

Uniprot Description

VEGFD: Growth factor active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration and also has effects on the permeability of blood vessels. May function in the formation of the venous and lymphatic vascular systems during embryogenesis, and also in the maintenance of differentiated lymphatic endothelium in adults. Binds and activates VEGFR-2 (KDR/FLK1) and VEGFR-3 (FLT4) receptors. Belongs to the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family.

Protein type: Cytokine; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp22.31

Cellular Component: extracellular region

Molecular Function: chemoattractant activity; growth factor activity; platelet-derived growth factor receptor binding; protein binding; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3 binding; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor binding

Biological Process: angiogenesis; induction of positive chemotaxis; platelet degranulation; positive regulation of angiogenesis; positive regulation of cell proliferation; positive regulation of endothelial cell proliferation; response to hypoxia; vascular endothelial growth factor receptor signaling pathway

Product Notes

The VEGF-D  vegfd (Catalog #AAA2544030) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti Human VEGF-D  Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's VEGF-D  can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). ELISA: 0.1-0.2 mug/mL. This antibody can be used at 0.1-0.2 mug/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect Human VEGFD. The detection limit for Human VEGFD is 5 ng/well. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VEGF-D  vegfd for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VEGF-D , Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
