Mouse anti-Human, Rat Superoxide Dismutase, Mn Monoclonal Antibody | anti-sodA antibody
Superoxide Dismutase, Mn (SOD Mn)
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Acetone fixed cryostat sections): 0.5-10ug/ml using an APAAP or PAP procedure. Antibody also reacts with 4% PFA fixed frozen tissue. Typical block contains 1% non-fat dry milk or 3% NGS and 0.2-1.5% triton X-100 (higher triton is only used on thick sections; blocked for 1-3 hours at RT. Primary antibody is diluted only in PBS or TBS without excess blocking materials (no triton or milk); typical dilution is 1:200-1:1000 with incubations up to 48 hours at 4 degree C. Wash 3x10' in PBS and detect via DAB. Immunoreactive neurons are characterized by the dark brown, fine granular deposition in soma and proximal dendrites.
Immunocytochemistry (cell smears): 0.5-10ug/ml.
Western Blot: Under reducing conditions a band at ~25kD will be identified.

NCBI Description
SoxRS regulon. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG10953].
Uniprot Description
Function: Destroys superoxide anion radicals which are normally produced within the cells and which are toxic to biological systems.
Catalytic activity: 2 superoxide + 2 H+ = O2 + H2O2.
Cofactor: Binds 1 manganese ion per subunit.
Subunit structure: Homodimer.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the iron/manganese superoxide dismutase family.

Product Notes
The sodA soda (Catalog #AAA602949) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Superoxide Dismutase, Mn (SOD Mn) reacts with Human, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Superoxide Dismutase, Mn can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC). Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Acetone fixed cryostat sections): 0.5-10ug/ml using an APAAP or PAP procedure. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the sodA soda for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Superoxide Dismutase, Mn, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
