Related Product Information for anti-SSR1 antibody
sequence receptor (SSR) is a glycosylated endoplasmic reticulum (ER)membrane receptor associated with protein translocation across the ERmembrane. the SSR consists of 2 subunits, a 34-kD glycoprotein(alpha-SSR or SSR1) and a 22-kD glycoprotein (beta-SSR or SSR2). the human alpha-signal sequence receptor gene (SSR1), also referred to asTRAP alpha, maps to the short arm of chromosome 6. SSR1 has several mRNAspecies as a result of complex alternative polyadenylation.

NCBI Description

The signal sequence receptor (SSR) is a glycosylated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane receptor associated with protein translocation across the ER membrane. The SSR consists of 2 subunits, a 34-kD glycoprotein encoded by this gene and a 22-kD glycoprotein. This gene generates several mRNA species as a result of complex alternative polyadenylation. This gene is unusual in that it utilizes arrays of polyA signal sequences that are mostly non-canonical. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]

Uniprot Description

TRAP proteins are part of a complex whose function is to bind calcium to the ER membrane and thereby regulate the retention of ER resident proteins. May be involved in the recycling of the translocation apparatus after completion of the translocation process or may function as a membrane-bound chaperone facilitating folding of translocated proteins.

Product Notes

The SSR1 ssr1 (Catalog #AAA2400608) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-SSR1 Antibody (clone 1A12) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's SSR1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Paraffin, Western Blot (WB). IHC-P: 5 ug/ml WB: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SSR1 ssr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SSR1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
