Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
Application Notes
FC: <= 0.125 ug/test

A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
Biological Significance
The PE-DLF monoclonal antibody reacts with phycoerythrin, PE-Cy5 and PE-Cy7, with no crossreactivity to fluorescein or allophycocyanin. When using PE-DLF as a second-step antibody, in combination with an appropriate third step, to bind a PE-conjugated primary antibody, there is no decrease in the fluorescent intensity of the directly conjugated PE antibody. Therefore no interference or quenching of the PE fluorochrome is observed. The PE-DLF can be used for separation of cells labeled with PE-conjugated antibodies or staining. Please note that the optimal concentration for this antibody will vary depending on the density of the primary PE-conjugated antibody and the application tested.
Tag/Conjugate
Biotin
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C. Do not freeze. Protect from light.

Product Notes

The Phycoerythrin (Catalog #AAA834790) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Phycoerythrin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). FC: <= 0.125 ug/test A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Phycoerythrin for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Phycoerythrin, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
