Biological Significance
MRI1 catalyzes the interconversion of methylthioribose-1-phosphate (MTR-1-P) into methylthioribulose-1-phosphate(MTRu-1-P). Independently from catalytic activity, it promotes cell invasion in response to constitutive RhoA activation by promoting FAK tyrosine phosphorylation and stress fiber turnover
Cross-Reactivity
Human
Immunogen
MRI1 antibody was raised in mouse using a full length recombinant protein of human MRI1 (NP_115661) produced in HEK293T cells, as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Uniprot Description

MRI1: Catalyzes the interconversion of methylthioribose-1- phosphate (MTR-1-P) into methylthioribulose-1-phosphate (MTRu-1- P). Independently from catalytic activity, promotes cell invasion in response to constitutive RhoA activation by promoting FAK tyrosine phosphorylation and stress fiber turnover. Belongs to the eIF-2B alpha/beta/delta subunits family. MtnA subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Isomerase; EC 5.3.1.23

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.2

Cellular Component: cell projection; cytoplasm; nucleolus; cytosol

Molecular Function: identical protein binding; S-methyl-5-thioribose-1-phosphate isomerase activity

Biological Process: methionine salvage; sulfur amino acid metabolic process; methionine biosynthetic process from S-adenosylmethionine; polyamine metabolic process

Product Notes

The MRI1 mri1 (Catalog #AAA832078) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's MRI1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). FC: 1:100 IF: 1:100 IHC: 1:50 WB: 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MRI1 mri1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MRI1, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
