Mouse CCAAT/enhancer binding protein deta, C/EBPdelta ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: CEBPdelta ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a Polyclonal anti-CEBPdelta antibody and an CEBPdelta -HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CEBPdelta -HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CEBPdelta concentration since CEBPdelta from samples and CEBPdelta -HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CEBPdelta antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CEBPdelta from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CEBPdelta -HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CEBPdelta concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this intronless gene is a bZIP transcription factor which can bind as a homodimer to certain DNA regulatory regions. It can also form heterodimers with the related protein CEBP-alpha. The encoded protein is important in the regulation of genes involved in immune and inflammatory responses, and may be involved in the regulation of genes associated with activation and/or differentiation of macrophages. The cytogenetic location of this locus has been reported as both 8p11 and 8q11. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]
Uniprot Description
C/EBP-delta: C/EBP is a DNA-binding protein that recognizes two different motifs: the CCAAT homology common to many promoters and the enhanced core homology common to many enhancers. Important transcriptional activator in the regulation of genes involved in immune and inflammatory responses, may play an important role in the regulation of the several genes associated with activation and/or differentiation of macrophages. Binds DNA as a dimer and can form stable heterodimers with C/EBP alpha. Interacts with SPI1/PU.1. Interacts with PRDM16. Belongs to the bZIP family. C/EBP subfamily.

The Mouse CEBPD cebpd (Catalog #AAA7211866) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7211866 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse CEBPD. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCAAT/enhancer binding protein deta, C/EBPdelta, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
