Host
Mouse
Clonality
Monoclonal
Isotype
IgG2a
Clone Number
RL-ph2
Specificity
RL-ph2 reacts with the major M13 filamentous phage coat protein g8p with a molecular weight of 5 kDa.
Form/Format
Each vial contains 100 ul 1 mg/ml purified monoclonal antibody in PBS containing 0.09% sodium azide.
Applicable Applications for anti-M13 phage coat protein g8p antibody
Affinity chromatography, Flow Cytometry (FC), Immunocytochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB)
Application Notes
RL-ph2 is particularly useful for immunoblotting of sepaRated phage proteins, and is also suitable for detection of M13 phages in multistep immunoblotting procedures, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, affinity chromatography and ELISA. Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titRation; recommended range is 1:25 - 1:200 for flow cytometry, and for immunohistochemistry with avidin-biotinylated Horseradish peroxidase complex (ABC) as detection reagent, and 1:100 - 1:1000 for immunoblotting appliCations.
Source Note
RL-ph2 is a Mouse monoclonal IgG2a, kappa antibody derived by fusion of SP2/0-Ag14 Mouse myeloma cells with spleen cells from a BALB/c Mouse immunized with isolated M13 phage coat proteins.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C, or in small aliquots at -20 degree C.

Related Product Information for anti-M13 phage coat protein g8p antibody
The display of repertoires of antibody fragments on the surface of filamentous phage offers a new way to produce immunoreagents with defined specificities. Phage derived antibody fragments offer a number of advantages over Mouse monoclonal antibodies, such as better clearance from the blood, the possibility to select from Human combinatorial libraries and the relative ease by which such fragments can be manipulated. The phage display technique thus facilitates the selection of antibody fragments of therapeutic value or research interest. Antibodies to M13 filamentous phage coat proteins are instrumental in the selection and detection of phages expressing specific antibody fragments or peptide sequences at their surface.

Product Notes

The M13 phage coat protein g8p (Catalog #AAA570069) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's M13 phage coat protein g8p can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Affinity chromatography, Flow Cytometry (FC), Immunocytochemistry (IHC), Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the M13 phage coat protein g8p for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "M13 phage coat protein g8p, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
