Related Product Information for anti-Ido1 antibody
Indoleamine-pyrrole 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) is an enzyme responsible for the catabolism of tryptophan to N-formlkynurenine and kynurenine. With the exception of tryptophan oxidase in hepatocytes, IDO is the only enzyme that degrades the amino acid tryptophan to kynurenine. Chlamydial pathogens require tryptophan for growth. IDO can lower available tryptophan in target cells leading to conversion of the pathogen to persistant forms, with significance in the progression to chronic infection with its associated pathological effects.

Product Notes

The Ido1 ido1 (Catalog #AAA633502) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (Indoleamine-pyrrole 2,3-dioxygenase, IDO, INDO, Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1, IDO1, IDO-1) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: frozen sections Western Blot: Recognizes a 45kD band in IFN-gamma treated cell lines. Recognizes a slighty lower MW band in mouse IDO compared to its human counterpart. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Ido1 ido1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
