Source Note
Anti-human IL32 antibody, clone AT2F9, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human IL32 protein.
Biological Significance
The gene encoding IL32 is located on human chromosome 16p13.3 and is organized into eight exons. IL32 is mainly expressed in natural killer cells, T cells, epithelial cells, and blood monocytes. It can induce proinflammatory cytokines in murine peritoneal macrophages as well as in phorbol ester-differentiated human THP1 cells. In the inflamed lesions of chronic pancreas, the ductal expression of IL32 was markedly increased. Pancreatic duct cells are the local source of IL32, and IL32 may play an important role in inflammatory responses and pancreatic cancer growth. Recently, a synergism between IL32 and other well characterized players in innate immunity has been documented.
Cross-Reactivity
To be determined by end-user.
Immunogen
IL32 antibody was raised in mouse using recombinant human IL32 (1-131aa) purified from E Coli as the immunogen.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the cytokine family. The protein contains a tyrosine sulfation site, 3 potential N-myristoylation sites, multiple putative phosphorylation sites, and an RGD cell-attachment sequence. Expression of this protein is increased after the activation of T-cells by mitogens or the activation of NK cells by IL-2. This protein induces the production of TNFalpha from macrophage cells. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IL32: Cytokine that may play a role in innate and adaptive immune responses. It induces various cytokines such as TNFA/TNF- alpha and IL8. It activates typical cytokine signal pathways of NF-kappa-B and p38 MAPK. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide; Cell adhesion

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.3

Cellular Component: extracellular space; membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; cytokine activity

Biological Process: immune response; defense response; cell adhesion

Product Notes

The IL32 il32 (Catalog #AAA831744) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The IL32 antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IL32 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). To be determiend by end-user. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL32 il32 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IL32, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
