Related Product Information for anti-IFI30 antibody
IFI30 belongs to the GILT family. This family includes the two characterized human gamma-interferon-inducible lysosomal thiol reductase (GILT) sequences: P13284 and Q9UL08. It also contains several other eukaryotic putative proteins with similarity to GILT. The aligned region contains three conserved cysteine residues. Besides, the two GILT sequences possess a C-X(2)-C motif that is shared by some of the other sequences in the family. This motif is thought to be associated with disulfide bond reduction. IFI30 is a lysosomal thiol reductase that can reduce protein disulfide bonds. It facilitates the generation of MHC class II-restricted epitopes from disulfide bond-containing antigens by the endocytic reduction of disulfide bonds. It also facilitates MHC class I-restricted recognition of exogenous antigens containing disulfide bonds by CD8+ T-cells or cross-presentation. IFI30 may facilitate the complete unfolding of proteins destined for lysosomal degradation and plays an important role in antigen processing.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a lysosomal thiol reductase that at low pH can reduce protein disulfide bonds. The enzyme is expressed constitutively in antigen-presenting cells and induced by gamma-interferon in other cell types. This enzyme has an important role in MHC class II-restricted antigen processing. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

IFI30: Lysosomal thiol reductase that can reduce protein disulfide bonds. May facilitate the complete unfolding of proteins destined for lysosomal degradation. Plays an important role in antigen processing. Facilitates the generation of MHC class II- restricted epitodes from disulfide bond-containing antigen by the endocytic reduction of disulfide bonds. Facilitates also MHC class I-restricted recognition of exogenous antigens containing disulfide bonds by CD8+ T-cells or crosspresentation. Belongs to the GILT family.

Product Notes

The IFI30 ifi30 (Catalog #AAA8106557) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Recombinant Anti-IFI30 Antibody, Rabbit Monoclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's IFI30 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC-P: 1:10,000-1:20,000 ICC/IF: 1:20-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IFI30 ifi30 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "IFI30, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
