Related Product Information for anti-fn1 antibody
Fibronectins are disulfide-linked, dimeric glycoproteins of ~440kD. They possess at least four binding sites for collagen, glycosaminoglycans, transglutaminase and a cell surface receptor. Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, tissue organization and wound healing. Fibronectins are present in basement membranes, interstitial connective tissue matrix and blood. Cellular fibronectin is widely distributed in the stroma of many malignant tumors.

Uniprot Description

Function: Fibronectins bind cell surfaces and various compounds including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin. Fibronectins are involved in cell adhesion, cell motility, opsonization, wound healing, and maintenance of cell shape. May be involved in osteoblast compaction

By similarity.

Subunit structure: Dimers or multimers of alternatively spliced variants, connected by 2 disulfide bonds near the carboxyl ends

By similarity.

Tissue specificity: In early Xenopus embryo, cellular forms of fibronectin predominate which include both extra domains. In fibronectin of embryonic and adult liver the connecting strand 3 can be either completely excluded or included.

Post-translational modification: Forms covalent cross-links mediated by a transglutaminase, such as F13A or TGM2, between a glutamine and the epsilon-amino group of a lysine residue, forming homopolymers and heteropolymers (e.g. fibrinogen-fibronectin, collagen-fibronectin heteropolymers).

Sequence similarities: Contains 12 fibronectin type-I domains.Contains 2 fibronectin type-II domains.Contains 17 fibronectin type-III domains.

Product Notes

The fn1 fn1 (Catalog #AAA601088) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Fibronectin, Gelatin Binding Domain reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Fibronectin, Gelatin Binding Domain can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Dilution: Western Blot: Non-reducing conditions Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the fn1 fn1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibronectin, Gelatin Binding Domain, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
